Raptors Big 3 put up a combined 70 Pts in a key win versus Boogie and the Pelicans

Here comes Toronto Gentlemen!

Raptors hang on to beat Pelicans 122-118 at the Air Canada Centre to improve 4-1 at home.

Derozan came up large down the stretch as he got the game winning jumper and nailed 2 clutch free throws to hold on the victory.

Derozan finishes with a team-high 33 points and 8 assists on 10/23 shooting from the field.

Lowry also had himself a game as he put up 18 points 6 rebounds and 7 assists on 7/13 shooting

Ibaka also had a decent game with 19 points 8 rebounds on 8/14 shooting.

Raptors key to victory before the game was to defend the top 2 Big men of New Orleans in Boogie Cousins and The Brow, and the raptors checked mark that key that was said during the broadcast of The Raptors.

Boogie Cousins had a awful shooting night , as the Raptors held him to only 20 points on 8/24 shooting and 3/10 from 3, he still grabbed 15 boards and 5 assists, as he was mostly guarded by JV, Ibaka and Poeltl.

Anthony The Brow Davis was held to only 18 points and 7 rebounds on 6/14 shooting as he wasn’t as aggressive, maybe it was because Jrue Holiday got going, and the Pelicans decided to run it with Cousins and Holiday in the second half, as Davis struggled to get shots in.

The Pelicans didn’t defend the Raptors quite well, as they let Derozan drop 33 Points and 8 AST, and they let the Raptors shoot over 50% from the field from Ibaka, Derozan and Lowry.

Pelicans shot 54 percent from field compared to the Raptors 46% percent, which is likely to get you a win 60 percent of the time, but Raptors made 16 3 pointers, were +10 on the Rebounds and a +6 on the offensive board.

Jrue Holiday keeps playing well against the Raptors, as he put up 34 points 5 rebs and 11 assists.

Pelicans 3 game winning streak comes to an end, as they coudnt beat the raptors for the 5th straight time, and have lost to the Raptors for the 13th time in 16 meeting with the team from the north.

Both teams picked up funny technical fouls as Boogie Cousins picked up a technical foul while sitting on the bench for talking foul to the refs, and Ibaka picked up also a technical foul for sticking his tongue towards the Pelicans bench after making a shot in the third quarter.

Next for The Pelicans, is a matchup with the LA Clippers Saturday night in New Orleans, who is trying to pull a rare win against LAC, as the Pelicans lost 7 seven times out of the past 10 meeting , and 15 of the past 20 meetings.

Next for The Raptors, is a key matchup in a ESF Preview,as they play the Division rivals, Boston Celtics in a Sunday afternoon game, who are the raptors trying to snap the Celtics winning streak ( Celtics do play the hornets on Friday, but Celtics are predicted to win for their 11th straight victory ), and are also trying to snap their own 6 game losing streak in Boston.
