PF David Lee Announces Retirement

It wasn’t long ago, he was on a contending team , the starting PF, averaging 18 points and 9 Rebounds a game for the Golden State Warriors.
Draymond Green was the backup to Lee before he suffered an injury which made Green the starter until Lee came back from injury, during that time, Green played amazing basketball as he turns out to be the best defender in the league in the frontcourt and is recently won an award for DPOY.
Lee returned from injury the season Green was made a name for himself, but was made the backup PF for the Warriors.
One year later, David Lee played Center and was a key piece of the bench in the 2015 NBA Finals , joining Finals MVP Igoudala in best bench players of the 2015 NBA Playoffs.
He ended up playing with The Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks and most recent the San Antonio Spurs.
His retirement comes early but no team decided to sign him and we are almost going through 3 months into the season, he was looking for a bench role and a leader role but his injury in his knees has cost him a lot of games and that is why he decided to hang it up.
Thank you David Lee! One time Champion.
